About Byte Size Bakery

Byte Size Bakery is a recipe site for people who bake for one or two. What we cover, how we test portions and why small batches matter.

Byte Size Bakery is a home for small-batch baking. Every recipe here is written to serve one or two people.

Who it’s for

People living alone. Couples. Students with a tiny oven. Anyone who wants a warm brownie tonight without a full tray tempting them all week.

How we write recipes

  • Weights in grams first, with spoon measures where they still make sense.
  • Yields stated plainly: two muffins means two muffins.
  • Pan sizes named, because a small batch in a big pan bakes badly.
  • A note on what to do with any leftover egg, cream or buttermilk.

Why the name

A byte is a small unit that still does useful work. So is a good small bake. We like a little wordplay, but the recipes come first.
